The word Leonesse, meaning "village of dreams," is the inspiration behind our lifelong quest to create world class wines from the finest vineyards in the Temecula Valley. Nestled in the rolling hills and vineyards of Temecula's wine country, Leonesse Cellars offers a warm, enchanting setting where visitors can enjoy great wines, spectacular views, and wonderful times with family and friends.
Leonesse Cellars was founded in 2003 by Mike Rennie and Gary Winder, who together have over fifty years of agriculture and grape-growing experience in the Temecula Valley. Their combined experience has lead to a true understanding of growing wine grapes of the highest quality, grapes which are concentrated, balanced, and ripe, ultimately producing wines of incredible depth and flavor.
Among the wines produced at Leonesse Cellars are Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, White Merlot, Muscat Canelli, and Cinsault Port, as well as small lots of other specially selected varietals. Each of our wines is carefully crafted to preserve the subtle flavors and nuances of the varietal. Our red wines, along with our Chardonnay, are aged for an extended period of time in a combination of small French and American oak barrels, adding softness and complexity to the wines, while our white wines are fermented slowly at cool temperatures, helping the wines to retain the fresh fruit flavors of the grape.

Gershon Bachus Vintners is a premiere winery in the beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country that was established in 2005 by Ken and Christina Falik. While wine tasting with their associates in 2001, Ken and Christina found a beautiful 20 acre parcel on De Portola Road, a breathtakingly stunning section of the Temecula Valley Wine Country. The thought of starting a luxury winery in the Temecula Valley Wine Country in California was not on their minds at the beginning. The land and the villa were to be a second home, which would be a great complimentary property, with stunning views on the entire Temecula Wine Country. The Robert Renzoni Winery Visitor’s Center and Wine Tasting Room is located at 37350 De Portola Road in Temecula, CA. The Winery Estate is situated on the north side of De Portola Road, immediately east of the Keyways Winery.At Robert Renzoni Winery and Vineyards we believe the best way to truly experience our commitment to quality is to take a guided tour of our Temecula winery and estate. PLEASE NOTE that our guided tour has been suspended until winery construction is complete.
When visiting our Temecula winery, we invite our guests to take a short walk up the hill directly behind the winery to a scenic overlook of the estate and sweeping views of the land encompassing the Temecula Valley Appellation*. At certain times in the harvest and production cycle, block grape sampling or other unique activities are incorporated into your Robert Renzoni experience. As tours bring you through natural vineyard terrain and into our active winery, comfortable shoes are recommended.
Robert Renzoni Tasting Room
The Robert Renzoni Tasting Room is open daily from 11 AM-6 PM.
The standard Robert Renzoni Winery tasting fee is $12 per person; or $15 for our premium tasting. Our premium tasting includes a crystal souvenir glass. All available Robert Renzoni vintages are limited in quantity, but feel free to inquire with our winery staff if you are interested in a particular vintage.
Until our Tuscan Villa tasting room is completed in 2011, our tasting room is comfortably housed in the Robert Renzoni Winery. Private tastings are available by appointment only, so please email us if you prefer a private tasting.*Weather permitting. Special accommodations will be made for guests who are unable to join us for the walking portions of the tour. Parties of 10 or more will need to make special arrangements due to seating limitations.
